Walton's Gators Run-Rule Through Gainesville

Winner
Florida
CHALK · CALLED IT

Chalk in Gainesville. Florida went 3-0 with a 25-2 run margin: 12-0 over Florida A&M, 8-0 over Georgia Tech, 5-2 over GT in the title. Walton's All-SEC lineup never gave up the lead in any game. Azua never got the clean look at Shumaker we worried about — Florida's bats handled her in Game 2.

X-Factor

Shumaker's bat over the two Georgia Tech meetings — drove in five runs across both games, including the title-clinching 2-run double.
