Bruins Blow The Doors Off LA — 15-1 In The Closer

Winner
UCLA
CHALK · CALLED IT

Chalk in LA, emphatically. UCLA swept 3-0: 12-11 over Cal Baptist (the only nail-biter), 7-2 over South Carolina, 15-1 run-rule over SC in the championship. Tinsley got the title; Grant homered twice in Sunday's finale. Heard never got the trap-game start we worried about — UCLA put up double digits and ended it early.

X-Factor

Grant's two homers in the title game. The Big Ten record-holder broke open a tight game and the run-rule kicked in by the 5th.
