UPSET in Eugene. Mississippi State swept 3-0 as the 2-seed — 3-2 over Saint Mary's, then a stunning 4-0 shutout of host Oregon, then 5-0 over Saint Mary's in the championship. Faircloth was untouchable: 17 IP across two starts, 1 ER allowed. Oregon's Grein-Sokolsky tandem couldn't crack a Bulldog lineup that hit .350+ all weekend.

X-Factor

Faircloth's 4-0 shutout of Oregon. The SEC Newcomer of the Year went the distance, struck out 9, and ended the Ducks' season in their own ballpark.

Super Regionals are best-of-three; the winner advances to the Women’s College World Series at Devon Park in Oklahoma City, May 28 - June 5.
