Georgia Sweeps Athens — Defending Champs Held Scoreless

Winner
Georgia
CHALK · CALLED IT

Chalk in Athens. Georgia swept 3-0 with an 18-2 run margin: 5-2 over Charleston, 8-0 over UNC Greensboro, 5-0 shutout of Clemson in the title. Shroyer never got the Sunday rubber we expected. Defending ACC champs Clemson went down 5-0 in the championship game — Howard struck out 8 and Gordon's 2-run homer in the 3rd was the dagger.

X-Factor

Destin Howard's 5-0 title-game shutout of Clemson. The defending ACC champs put up nothing — and Tony Baldwin is in his third straight super regional run.
